Frequently Asked Questions
Coaching FAQs
I’m embarrassed about my finances — is that okay?
Completely. Most people come to coaching feeling behind, not ahead. This is a judgment-free space to figure things out, not a place to be graded.
How is this different from a budgeting app?
An app tracks numbers. Coaching helps you understand why your money moves the way it does and builds a plan that fits your actual life with someone to keep you accountable along the way.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your goals. Some people come for a single session to get unstuck; others
prefer ongoing monthly check-ins. We’ll talk through what makes sense for you in the
first session.
Do you help with debt, or just budgeting?
Coaching can cover both. Budgeting, saving, debt payoff strategy, and building
sustainable habits are all part of the conversation.
Bookkeeping FAQs
My books are a mess. Can you still help?
Yes, year-end cleanup is one of the most common starting points. We’ll get your books current and accurate before setting up an ongoing monthly rhythm.
How often will I get updates on my numbers?
Monthly. You’ll receive organized financial statements every month, not just a scramble at tax time.
Do you work with any specific accounting software?
Let’s talk about what you’re currently using during your consultation, and I’ll let you know how I can support it.
What’s the difference between bookkeeping and tax services?
Bookkeeping keeps your day-to-day financial records accurate and current. Tax services use those records to prepare and file your return. Many clients use both
together so nothing falls through the cracks.
Tax Services FAQs
What if I’m behind on filing past years?
That’s common, and it’s fixable. Prior-year return review is part of what I offer. We’ll
get you caught up and compliant.
Do you only work with businesses, or individuals too?
Both. Whether it’s a personal return or a small business filing, the same CPA-led
attention applies.
What if I don’t have everything organized yet?
That’s normal — most clients don’t. Part of the process is helping you get organized, not requiring you to arrive that way.
Is the initial consultation really free?
Yes, the 30-minute consultation is complimentary and no-obligation, so we can talk through your situation before anything is scheduled or billed.
